    The same sensor can simultaneously monitor temperature and humidity and alert when important trigger points have been reached.

    Temp Stick is a silent alarm and monitoring device. It sends texts, email and alerts when trigger points are activated based on your settings.

    A smartphone is recommended but not required. You can receive text message alerts on any phone (even an older flip phone). Settings and history can be accessed from any web-capable device (PC, tablet or smartphone). Log in from anywhere.

    Alkaline Batteries (Included)

    Your Temp Stick sensor comes with two 1.5V AA alkaline batteries. Average battery life expectancy with default settings is 1+ years.

    Recommended for extreme heat and freezer applications: Lithium batteries perform even in the most extreme temperatures, making lithium batteries perfect for extremely cold or hot conditions where alkaline batteries typically cease to function.   • What is the Temp Stick WiFi range?

    The sensor has a range of 300-400 ft (unobstructed). Doors, walls, floors and other obstructions can impact this range. The sensor contains state-of-the-art "safe wall" penetrating WiFi technology that is designed to work on nearly every type of safe, refrigerator, freezer, walk-in cooler etc.

  • Does this work with a WiFi hotspot?

    Yes. The sensor connects to any open WiFi network or network you have access to, including mobile hotspots (like a Verizon JetPack).

    Please note, if you plan on using an iPad or iPhone to provide a hotspot, many Apple iPad and iPhone users find these types of hotspots are unreliable and will switch off after just 1 to 90 minutes of inactivity.

  • What if the connection is lost?

    If the sensor loses its internet (WiFi) connection, it will continue to log data and automatically re-connect when the connection is available again. You can receive an alert when the Temp Stick loses and regains connection to the internet.

    There are no ethernet ports on the Temp Stick sensor. A wireless internet connection (WiFi) is required.

    Depending on how you are using Temp Stick, you might not need any mounting. Just place it where you need it for instant alerts and monitoring.

    The sensor comes with optional velcro for easy wall mounting. The sensor is lightweight and easily attaches to many surfaces.

    Temp Stick's operating temperature range is between -40° to 140° F. Lithium batteries perform best in extremely cold or hot conditions where alkaline batteries typically cease to function. Lithium batteries are recommended for temperatures down to -40°.

    No, the sensor is not waterproof. Temp Stick measures humidity (non-condensing moisture levels) from 0 to 90%.

    The sensor is factory-calibrated and has excellent long term stability to within less than half a degree.

  • Can the sensor be calibrated?

    No, the sensor is factory calibrated. But you can achieve "calibration like" synchronization with other instruments by increasing or decreasing the "calibration offset value" for your sensor.

    For example: your home thermometer might typically read 50°F and Temp Stick might typically read 51.2°F. You can set the Temp Stick to offset the temperature by -1.2°F in its settings, this will change its readings to display with that offset and alerts will calculate using that offset.

  • Can I export historical data?

    Yes. You can export data for download as comma-separated values (CSV) files.

    Yes. You can switch between the two types in your account settings.

  • What types of alerts are sent?

    You can configure Temp Stick to send any combination of text, email and push notifications. Send alerts to as many people as you'd like.

  • How quickly are alerts sent?

    Alerts and notifications are sent instantly when the sensor checks in and the readings trigger an alert. You can change how frequently Temp Stick checks in in its settings.

  • Can I alert multiple contacts?

    Yes, you may have a total of ten contacts to receive alerts and notifications under one account. Additionally, customize which contacts receive specific alerts.

  • Can I customize alerts?

    Yes, text and email alert messages can contain any mix of pre-written text and sensor data. Maximum message length is 140 characters.

    Yes, you can create many alerts triggers for temperature and humidity.
    Use this feature to create alerts for different individuals or groups.

    For example: If sensor temperature goes above 75° F, alert person A. Then, if temperature goes above 81° F, alert person A + B etc.

    Temp Stick can send you automated Temperature & Humidity reports by email. Choose from daily, weekly or monthly + unlimited data history.
